Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin

Image
Once we landed in Indiana we stayed for two weeks near Elkhart and Amish/Mennonite Country. The site seeing was extremely limited due to the virus and the heat around July 4th. Upon departure we made a quick trip up through Michigan trying to go North to find cooler weather but it was hot throughout even into the Upper Peninsula. We did a quick two night stay in Alpena, MI at the County fairgrounds and enjoyed a walk through the Alpena Wildlife Sanctuary along with a local brewery. We moved on from there and Stayed in St. Ignace so we could visit Makinac Island. On to Wisconsin we stayed in Sturgeon Bay in Door County for a short week. We made our way into Green Bay and visited the Botanical Gardens and stopped by Lambeau Field. This was a house across the street from Lambeau Field

So far an awesome find in the South Central mountains of Colorado along the Rio Grande River. Yep that one that heads down to the Texas Mexico border then into the Gulf of Mexico.

Will after 12 short days we have decided to move on from here due to the constant threat of severe thunderstorms. Traci did a lot of walks and found all these great pictures of carvings from trees that had died. Also some pictures of walks down to the lake Finally a couple of pictures for closing

We are still alive and Corona Free!

Well we have done the quarantine thing here near Whitney, TX from April 4th to May 1st. The Thousand Trails Lake Whitney RV Campground was an excellent place to go through this. It was not anywhere near full and although all the amenties were closed they have a lot of room to roam. They had miles of trails and a lake to fish. We did catch on one day a small large mouth and one hybrid bass. All in all we really enjoyed it here despite being basically shut in with no interaction. We would come back here in the future if our travels sent us this direction for sure. https://thousandtrails.com/texas/lake-whitney-rv-campground/

Medina Lake Texas

Happy Corona virus World. We have been at the Medina Lake Thousand Trails RV park since the 14th of March now. We will be staying until 3 April for now. Then if allowed to move at that time we plan to check into Whitney Lake Thousand Trails on 4 April. After 3 weeks there we would then move to Towakani Lake Thousand Trails for 3 weeks which will get us through the middle of May. Nothing exciting to report here although there are still a few people in the park besides permanent residents with us. Daily walks through the park when it is not raining is all the excitement we have. The area we are in is approximately 20 miles West of San Antonio, TX. Stay safe everyone and stop buying the RV specific toilet paper. We know there are not that many RVers out there.

Luling, TX

We are now staying in Luling , TX East of San Antonio for a few days before moving on to San Antonio and the Medina Lake area. We are presently staying at the Riverbend RV park https://www.riverbendrvpark.com/ It is located along the San Marcos river. We are in a secluded spot at the end of the park nearest the river.
